The Most Amazing Libraries in the World
The Huffington Post has a gallery of photographs of the world's most beautiful and amazing libraries. Here are three, but much more at the link. Worth a look!
The Seattle Public Library
The Chateau de Chantilly Library The Stockholm Public Library
I've been to the Seattle library twice now and I don't like it much. The walls loom over you and make you feel either too small or too big and anyway at the wrong angle. The bathroom level was painted a uniform red that made the shapeless walls disappear with curves removing any reassuring sight lines. Very creepy. On the whole a bit like a Terry Gilliam movie.
