This is a big "duh". The point of hand sanitizers is that you use them in place of washing your hands, when handwashing would be impossible or inconvenient, etc. When you wash your hands, all you do is wash off the germs that are already on there. So, likewise, hand sanitizers are intended to kill the germs already on your hands. They do not provide a magic force field that repels germs for hours afterward - where in earth did that idea come from. Use some sense people!
