Almost every digital camera encodes its photos with Exchangable Image File Format Data (EXIF). The data might include camera type,camera serial number, date/time of the shot, exposure, geolocation data, etc. StolenCameraFinder extracts this data and looks for that same serial number data elsewhere on the internet. If it finds it, you can find photos taken with that camera and potentially locate the thief (or lucky finder). This is very useful - and free!
