Paul McCartney hires HP to digitize his library
Hewlett-Packard and Paul McCartney’s media company MPL Communications have launched a private archive of the singer/composers' material in a digital cloud library. The Paul McCartney Digital Library will house five decades worth of Paul's personal collection of memorabilia. The site is for McCartney’s personal use, but it could easily become a public offering.
The collection includes more than a million items including more than half a million photographs, video footage from live concerts, music recordings, McCartney’s original paintings, handwritten lyrics, notes, sketches, and more.
