Mindspot - a library for youth


At the Aarhus Public Libraries in Denmark, Mindspot is a new concept that is attempting to keep libraries relative to the lives of young people. It is also a look to the future of library science. The goal was to turn the library into a mouthpiece for young people and their culture, a creator of opportunities and an initiator of conversations. The ultimate goal is to build a youth library that will ideally help create a whole person who is professionally skilled, has active leisure pursuits and who is generally interested in his or her surrounding world.
